ok, I've just come across one of the most...I can't even think of a word fitting. This person, Shaggytheclown (which, from the looks of things, is already quite unpopular) recently posted on their news, advertising a self proclaimed "Smack an Atheist Day"
(apparently, to "smack" them with "facts")

Ok, I get that this guy is religious, and I can respect him for that (I myself am Christian) but what he is saying is just hypocritical and condescending. It's people like this that give religious groups a bad name. How dare he attack a system of beliefs, and say that we need to "bring them back"? That's the same as looking at any other religion and saying "Come on fellow -insert religion here-, it is our duty to tell these people they are wrong and bring them into the light!"

After surfing the bbs boards, my feelings are just confirmed. Trying to have an intellectual discussion is immpossible, as circular reasoning and "because god said so" are the arguments of the day.

I don't know why I get so riled up by crap like this, it just seems like bigots and "holier than thou" people shouldn't be allowed into normal society.
